What’s the feeling like when someone meets your expectations and betters them? Carrie Soto Is Back makes the hitherto great books I read this year seem outrageously dwarfed. For, this is the real thing. This is exemplary writing at it’s lethal best. This is what a Classic is all about. And TJR, you are a legend and no less. For, barely 10% into the book and it is hard to believe that Carrie Soto is not real. That this is fiction. What. A. Book. !!

The release of this book coincided with the start of the US Open 2022. And of course it now seems intentional as this is central to the theme of this amazing book. Taylor Jenkins Reid has hinted in her interviews of this book being modelled around Serena Williams …

As the cliché goes, Never judge a book by it’s cover. The cover was precisely what drew me into A Tidy Ending to start with. A bright yellow, perfectly upholding the summer feel and ushering in a brightness, positivity and warmth. A little birdie perching on the daffodil frame, inviting you to come and read this one. If there ever was an award for the best designed cover, this book makes a vehement claim.

At times, some long accepted adages stand to be challenged. For, A Tidy Ending with it’s beautiful cover is even more beautiful with what lies inside it. Joanna Cannon has a winner at hand without question, one of the best books of 2022.

An adorable, funny and heart-warming book. Dinner With The Schnabels bowled me over instantly! It wouldn’t be an overstatement to say, this is the funniest book I have read to date! A modern day classic from Toni Jordan!

Set amidst the pandemic lockdowns, it is a sweet story of the Schnabel family. It begins with Tansy Schnabel visiting a law firm seeking divorce related advise.
