The Only Time Modiji Made A Mistake

(A wrap-up on Indian General Elections 2024)

As the results of the voting for Indian General Elections 2024 started pouring in, it became clear something went wrong for the ruling BJP particularly with one state, which is Uttar Pradesh.

As a bystander – one who hasn’t really been diving into the news channels and political activity – I had a subconscious feeling since many months – when the whole Ram Ayodhya Mandir thing was done. It just wasn’t giving me the right vibes. If I put it simply, it felt very unlike Modiji to place such an event right before the elections. I am not saying our Hon’ble Prime Minister’s intentions were wrong, but on a general level, it gave such an impression. As if, this was being done to garner the Hindu votes, which used to be their main vote bank.

I exercised my voting franchise today!

It comes once in 5 years, and here we are again. The Indian General Elections, traditionally set amidst scorching summers yet again bring down the power into the hands of the common man.

It was such a happy sight to see people coming out in large numbers in the early morning hours to cast their vote. Even the tantalizing heat of the Delhi summer wasn’t enough to dampen the spirits as young and old, men and women came out to celebrate this festival of our democracy – the largest in the world. It not only makes me proud but immensely satisfied to have cast my vote. It makes me feel, I did my bit. It gives me a sense of belonging to this lovely nation.

May the right person be chosen. Proud to be an Indian.

Flipkart’s Online Fraud: Be Ware Friends

Hello Friends…

Am writing today to share an experience that could be useful to all. It just goes on to show that we are living in a world where we cannot trust even the biggest of brands. You need to be watchful and protect your hard earned money yourself!

I had placed an order for Vivo V21 5G (Dusk Blue, 256 GB) on 20.5.2022 (Order ID #Order OD124989284067073000) for Rs. 36019/-. The ordered was delivered on 25.5.2022 but I was shocked to see a different color phone had been delivered (Sunset Dazzle).

I raised a complaint the same day to return the phone. It was approved on 26.5.2022 and I got a message that the pickup has been scheduled for 27th May (27.5.2022). I kept waiting the whole day but no one came to pickup the return. I raised another complaint on their site through their chat/call back enquiring into …

Lata Mangeshkar: A 90’s Kid Remembers

Lata Mangeshkar Tribute
The 90s India

The India of the 90s and growing up in it. Few things elicit more emotion than reliving that era. Probably every generation feels the same for it’s own growing up years. But, this was a generation that was the last to experience a lot of things. Time was changing, India was changing. A life without technology explosion. A time without mobiles. A time where you still played the traditional games. And, a time of VCRs and tape recorders. While much has changed, one thing remained constant until very recently. It was, Lata Mangeshkar – The Nightingale Of India.

The Rare Distinctions

Lata Mangeshkar – a voice that holds many distinctions that none can boast. She is the only singer whom both me and my parents have grown up hearing. No single phase can be picked as Lata Mangeshkar’s peak. Since, she was at her peak for 70+ …
